This classic British breed is nothing but lovable. Bulldogs are dignified, muscled and comically grumpy. Just like their name suggests, they can be notably stubborn – but don’t be put off by their disgruntled expression. They’re remarkably kind, gentle and complete pacifists. Bulldogs hate any confrontation or aggression – they’d much rather have a cuddle and a snack! This iconic breed has a short muzzle, wrinkled skin and a pushed-in nose – and their pronounced underbite gives them their infamous bad-tempered frown.
